The media event for the new Fiat Chrysler Mack Avenue plant in Detroit was held on August 13, 2019. FabArc will add this 6600 ton job to a long list of automotive work completed over the last three decades. Former student Haley Callaway has long had an interest in the construction industry. After realizing that she enjoyed the hands-on work, she decided to apply for a spot in the Academy of Craft Training. After being accepted, she studied welding there her senior year of high school, even taking part in an internship program with FabArc Steel Supply in Oxford. While at FabArc she got to further her knowledge of welding, doing visual welding inspections
and even eventually getting in the booth to be hands-on.
