Partnership with the Academy of Craft Training

We’d like to take a moment to highlight one of the programs we value here at FabArc Steel. The Academy of Craft Training (ACT) has given us the opportunity to help build young individuals trade knowledge and give them skills to start careers. This summer we had the pleasure of working with Marisa Bond, who is the third female to work on our production team as a welder. We’re proud to announce that during her time with us, Marisa worked on the shop floor with senior welders and became an AWS certified welder. Previous ACT program graduates include Haley Callaway (2018) and Christian Hulmes (2019) who now work with us as CJP Class A welders. We are grateful for the chance to work with the Academy of Craft Training and the exceptional young tradesmen it produces.

TK Test Tower Topping Out Ceremony

Thyssenkrupp Test Tower & IQC

From our Project Manager Justin Cox: “Tony Pugh (President), Richard Hughes (Vice President of Sales and Marketing) and myself attended the structural steel topping out ceremony at the TK Test Tower and IQC Lab last week. The General Contractor was extremely complimentary of the FabArc Steel / Midwest Steel team and praised the quality and workmanship involved with completing this very complex and high profile project. The design of this structure was not only intricate, but was also ever-changing. FabArc and Midwest were able to address these revisions in real time AND complete the project ahead of schedule. The successful completion of the steel package of the TK Test Tower and IQC Lab speaks volumes to the entire FabArc Steel organization.”
