The first new steel has gone up at the future Fiat Chrysler Mack Avenue plant in Detroit. The multi-million dollar project promises to have new cars rolling off the assembly line by the end of 2020.
After being accepted in the Academy of Craft Training, Haley Callaway studied welding her senior year of high school, even taking part in an internship program with FabArc Steel Supply in Oxford. While at FabArc she got to further her knowledge of welding, doing visual welding inspections and even eventually getting in the booth to be hands-on.
